  • Android Market to add paid app support in additional countries. We’re not sure which yet, but they should be coming in over the coming weeks.
  • Android Enterprise Adoption Gains Ground on iPhone & Blackberry(courtesy ThisAndroidLife) – As of August, 16% Android(a 4% gain), iPhone 31%, Blackberry 66%. The article attributes a lot of this to 2.1’s Exchange Support.
  • IGR Whitepaper on Preloaded Apps: The Hype and the Reality
  • Android Guys is suggesting that Amazon might be the perfect company to get into the Android app store market, and is certainly considering something in the mobile space.
  • Google Releases Gmail Update in Market, continues to decouple its services from ROMs. Improved message replies, access to quoted text, limited support for Priority inbox. Requires Froyo.
  • UMA Technology for Android from Kineto – UMA lets you use an existing wi-fi access point as a standalone femtocell. This could be great, but requires carrier approval. They could, like their home femtocells, use the GPS on the phone to lock it into US use.
