    • “Hey guys! Just finished listening to last night’s show. Another great one! I really like how you two deliver the latest Android information (and then some), but without a structured form. I’m drafting a testimonial, hopefully I’ll get to post it tomorrow or later this week. I’d like to thank Jere for suggesting Light Manager. I’ve been using it on my Nexus 4 after I quit using Light Flow. Basically, I wanted more options, without paying. (What can I say? I’m American.) I enjoy Light Manager a lot, except for that when I send an SMS, my LED will start blinking as if I’ve received a new message. I currently use Hangouts for SMS and if my message hasn’t ‘fully sent’ (according to Hangouts) the LED will start blinking when I turn off the screen. It will also randomly start blinking green at random times (I set green for Hangouts/SMS). The rouge blinking doesn’t bother me too much, but if Jere knows why this might happen, or a fix, etc., I’d like to hear about it. Does this happen with your Nexus 5 at all? And a question for the Guru. Have you done a full review of the Pebble yet? If not, I’d love to read one. I’m seriously thinking about getting one, but I’d perfer the new Steel model, but with a much lower price tag. I’ll definately wait till Googles watch comes out before striking this iron. Thanks again for the wonderful show. A very big thank you to Kevin M. on G+, reminding me about all good Android Buffet things. Honk when you drive through Lawrence, Kevin! P.S. Might I suggest a new segment, probably towards the end of the show, maybe a sort of ‘bloopers’ type of thing, called (inspired by last nights ending) …. Toilet Talk, with Guru and Jere! PPS. Jere, where are the spoons, man? Do you need me to send more YouTube videos your way?”
    • Greetings, Jere and Guru! I’ve written in before, but spurred on by the chance to get a windup Android, I thought I would send another note. Love the show, thank you for putting it together and keeping it going. To help provide a topic discussion, I thought I would pose a question for both of you: What launcher, icon sets, widget packs, background sets, etc. do you use on your phones? Please include links in the show notes for those of us wanting to try these out for ourselves.
    • “Good morning Jere and Guru, I really enjoy your podcast and have been listing for a few months now. You always have great content and are entertaining. I did want to add something you may find interesting based on Episode 183 whee you discussed the use of WIFI calling for Sprint and T-Mobile. I have been using Republic Wireless now for a few weeks and my wife has been using the service for about 3 months. What makes Republic Wireless unique is that when on WIFI it uses this connection for all data including phone calls. When not on WIFI it uses Sprint coverage and Verizon for roaming. I have found WIFI to be a very stable connection with call quality that rivals the cell network. It also gives me full service at locations that has poor cell coverage. Also the handover from WIFI to cell is unperceivable to us. It can not go from Cell to WIFI for calls started on Cell but that is not a big issue. You can check them out at https://republicwireless.com/. They are also a sweet deal with unlimited 3G talk, text, and data for $28 with tax. $40 plus tax for 4G. I think their “Unlimited” is capped at 5GB. They also have a referral program that offers a $19 credit to both the current customer offering the referral and the new customer signing up for the service. So far we are very happy with it and have recommended it to a few of our friends, well worth checking out. Thanks for the great podcasts and keep up the good work, Jonathan Brown”
    • “Will you tell Guru we’re thinking about him and hopefully he can tunnel his way out before the next show! If not, that’s fine, but the show must go on!”
