    • Polish town of Tuszyn rules Winnie the Pooh out as a potential mascot for its playground because he is an “inappropriately dressed” bear of “dubious sexuality.”
    • New Joint Project of the EFF, Mozilla, CIsco, Akamai, and U. of Michigan called Let’s Encrypt. This is a a new free certificate authority with the goal of easily helping people encrypt their sites.

    • Dave H asks, “This article states that Android and iOS encryption is turned on by default in the latest versions, and Apple states that they aren’t technically capable of bypassing your passcode on iOS 8, but Google only states that Android 5.0 comes encrypted with a unique key.I don’t understand all the references nor do I have the time to research all of them, so what do you guys think?
    • Using a password manager on Android? It may be open to sniffing attacks as all use the clipboard to transfer passwords.

    • Samsung decides 56 smartphones a year  is too many, cutting next year’s lineup by 30%.
    • Android Play Services 6.5 rolling out, adds granular dependency management for apps.

    • QuickPic gets material design-like update. (Play Link)
    • Pebble app completely rewritten, now lets you receive notifications from any app. (Play Link)
    • Swiftkey update brings performance improves and twelve new languages.
    • Cerberus 3.0 update in beta, prevents the device from being powered off while on the lock screen, a password-protect option for the Device Administrators page, and an option to lock out USB debugging mode on your device. New remote features allowing you to toggle Bluetooth, change app configurations, do backups of on-device data, SSH into your phone, or start apps and services on it.
    • LastPass updated, adds annoying chathead like feature to fill in passwords. (Play Link)
    • Amazon app updated, adds Lollipop and Android Wear support.

    On episode 226 you spent 20 out of 55 minutes talking about crap . You talked about your website, you talked about cartoon characters who knows what else . I come to the show to hear about android!
