In the first episode of the New Year, Guru and Jere get extremely random. Sorry about that.

    • “Jere and Guru: Great podcast. I was referred to your podcast by Door-to-Door Geek at the app addicts podcast. In my opinion these are certainly the two best Android podcasts out there and I think I’ve listened to most of them. I really love your intellect and the geographically differentiated personality types. Actually quite entertaining for this kind of podcast. I’ve heard mentioned that you both(?) have a background in Home theater. I’ve been looking for an android remote that will allow me to control a central set-top box that is switched to multiple dispersed TV’s around my house. I haven’t found any remote, including the new Google remote, that will handle this kind of setup. Its seems that an android remote-control device paired with distributed, inexpensive, WIFI to IR receiver/blasters located around the house would make for an excellent application If you know of such an inexpensive receiver/blaster device maybe Gere could write the android remote control app? It does seem that the android platform would make for an incredibly configurable and user-friendly remote-control experience. It wont be long before many of us will have several android-based devices just laying around waiting to be put to use in our households. Your thoughts?” Ted, Greensboro NC
