    • Tinkerdroid is a new Q&A site for Android-based questions.
  • App News
    • Netflix coming to Some Android Devices Next Year. The issue they claim, is a lack of a common DRM system they can use on all handsets, leading to a fragmented solution as they make deals with manufacturers. Without DRM, the studios will not let them stream. They are hoping for a platform wide solution in the long-term. Oddly, other services that require some form of DRM have succeeded in making Android apps.
    • Wall Street Journal App comes out for Android Tablets only, not for Android phones.
    • Elsewhere, RadioTime has announced a version of TuneIn Radio optimized for Google TV.
    • Evernote 2.0 Released, features a new home screen, new search interface, new views and options, etc.
    • Bing for Mobile now available on all major carriers
    • Rhapsody for Android Beta 2 now available in the market. From most reviews, still not there yet. Millions of songs for $9.99 a month.
    • Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta now available.
    • Twidroyd was updated, switches to a new model: Both the free and pro are now the same app, only one has ads. Offers recommended users, mute users, etc.
  • Google enhanced Google News for Smartphones. Mobile-Optimized Sites vs Webapps.

  • Alternate Contacts/Dialer Apps
    • Youlu Address Book – (Install via AppBrain) Alternate Contacts app. Nice interface, but won’t unify multiple accounts, no landscape mode, not yet there.
    • Dialer One (Install via AppBrain) – Continues to improve
  • Root Report – Guru and Bugless Beast, a modded Droid ROM, reasonably close to stock.

    • Android Developer making over $1000 per month from ads. From May through October, revenue on 6 Android apps has grown from $4.95 to $1059.31.
