- Jamaican based mobile operator Digicel plans to block ads for their customers unless Google and other companies pay them to let the ads through.
- Librarian of Congress James Billington retires, has been the Librarian since 1987, and a replacement has yet to be appointed. Billington famously made rulings on jailbreaking and unlocking cell phones.
